Susan is the founder and CEO of Susan Hairston Consulting LLC, Hairston brings a wealth of financial and operational expertise that supports building inclusive, collaborative communities and organizations. Prior to consulting, Susan directed grants management at The JPB Foundation and annual grantmaking operations at The Ford Foundation.  She has served with Center for Effective Philanthropy Advisory Board, Union County College’s Board of Governors and the Summit Board of Education.  She is a past Commissioner of the Union County Board of Taxation, has co-chaired the Mayor’s Forum for Diversity, and made history by being elected Summit’s first African American Councilmember.
