Julie is an independent consultant focused on strategy and change management. Formerly, she was Executive Director of the Schumann Fund for NJ, Project Director for the Human Resources Administration (City of NY) and Consultant for Bain & Company. Julie serves on the Board of Visitors of Duke University’s Pratt School of Engineering and is a trustee of the Evermore Global Value Fund and TEAM Academy (KIPP). She is a former trustee of the Summit Educational Foundation.

David is the founder of Point View Wealth Management, an SEC-registered investment adviser. David graduated Phi Beta Kappa, magna cum laude, and with honors in his major, economics, from Dartmouth College. He received his law degree from The University of Chicago Law School. He has served as president of Summit’s Board of Education, trustee of Overlook Foundation and the Summit Area YMCA. He has served as chair of the service committee of Dartmouth’s Alumni Council, and as president of the Suburban Chamber of Commerce.

Sandra R. Lizza Secretary and Trustee

Sandy served as a councilwoman for the City of Summit, as a trustee for Summit Downtown Inc. and as vice chair of the Summit Historic Preservation Commission. Her 24-year career with Philip Morris USA (now Altria Group) included leadership positions in finance, planning and process management. She was assistant controller, New York headquarters, director, purchasing process, and director, marketing infrastructure, where she implemented high-profile technology projects. Sandy was an early board member of Summit Supports our Troops (now Bonds of Courage), a volunteer with school and religious groups, Boy Scouts, and she is an active supporter of Covenant House New York and Saint Peter’s Prep in Jersey City.

Leah is managing partner of Watts Consulting and formerly worked at Mitchell Madison Group and Pfizer Inc. She is past president of the Summit Educational Foundation, serves on the board of Family Promise National and is a trustee of Central Presbyterian Church.

Martha Sayre Assistant Treasurer and Trustee

Martha Sayre Assistant Treasurer and Trustee

Martha is a founder of Destination College, a nonprofit that supports first-generation, college bound students from ninth grade through college. She served as grants chair of the Summit Educational Foundation, and as a consultant of NJ Seeds, a CAAP mentor at Summit High School, and a trustee of Summit’s PEP Program. Martha spent 30 years at Sotheby's Inc., most recently as senior vice president of business development. She serves on the PEP board.

John W. Cooper President Emeritus and Trustee

Jack served as president of The Summit Foundation for 28 years. He served as a trustee with many other local nonprofit organizations, including Overlook Hospital Foundation, SAGE Eldercare, Northern New Jersey Estate Planning Council, Summit Area United Way, Summit Volunteer First Aid Squad, Summit Family Service Association, Summit Speech School and Oak Knoll School of the Holy Child. Cooper was a partner at Lindabury, McCormick, Estabrook and Cooper, P.C.

Julie is office manager at Willow St. Inc. She previously worked as communications manager of the National Council of State Housing Agencies, and as an editor at New Orleans Publishing Group in New Orleans, LA. She previously served as co-president of the Summit Junior Fortnightly Club and helped with marketing and fundraising campaigns at EducAid, a London-based network of free schools in Sierra Leone.

Sandy Bloom Trustee

Sandy Bloom Trustee

Sandy currently serves on the board of the Summit Free Public Library, and previously served on Summit’s Board of Education and Zoning Board. She was president of Temple Sinai and a founding member of the Summit Mayor’s Valuing Diversity Forum. In 2018, she received the Good Scout Award for her civic contributions. Sandy and her family have lived in Summit for more than 40 years, prior to which she practiced labor law in Washington, DC.

Lyle Brehm Trustee

Lyle is a longstanding trustee of The Summit Foundation and has formerly served as secretary and grants committee co-chair. She worked in corporate and foundation relations at Kean University Foundation and as a bond market analyst at Capital Access International and assistant professor of nursing at the University of Virginia. She is a former trustee of Central Presbyterian Church. Upon retiring, Lyle began cultivating her interests in singing, painting and volunteer grant writing.

Celia is a trustee of St. Barnabas Medical Center, Colgate University and the Summit Free Public Library, and also serves on the board of directors of UNCF (the United Negro College Fund). She is a past president of the Summit Board of Education. Celia spent more than 25 years at Merck & Co., most recently as senior vice president, secretary and assistant general counsel.

Amy Everett DiSibio Trustee

Amy was a director in the institutional equities division Salomon Smith Barney and since retirement has devoted her time to several local organizations. She currently serves as a trustee on the Connie Dwyer Breast Cancer Foundation and the Summit Lacrosse Club boards. She is a former president of the Summit Educational Foundation, the Summit Boosters Association and the Summit Women’s Lacrosse Association. Amy also served as chair and vice-chair of The Colgate University President's Club.

Before he retired, Jim was managing director at Kennebec Capital Management. Fleischmann formerly worked at TIAA-CREF and Salomon Brothers Asset Management. He has served on the library boards at the University of Pittsburgh, Penn State University and the Summit Free Public Library, as well as the Summit Area YMCA and Homeless Solutions Board.

Patricia is an adjunct professor in the STEM department at Union County College. She is the Hispanic Community Liaison for the Summit schools and co-founder of Empowering Kids Organization. She formerly worked at Rutgers University and the Public Health Research Institute at the International Center for Public Health at the New Jersey Medical School.

Charles Gelber MD Trustee

Charles Gelber MD Trustee

Chuck was a practicing physician specializing in nephrology and primary care for 30 years. Gelber most recently practiced at Summit Medical Group. Since retiring in 2017, Gelber has served as a physician in underserved area clinics with the Summit Medical Group Foundation and has traveled on medical missions to the Dominican Republic with Waves of Health. Since 2010, he has volunteered with the Summit Juvenile Conference Committee, which adjudicates cases involving first-time juvenile offenders.

Cary graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and Rutgers College. He was senior partner of Bourne, Noll & Kenyon and has been a lawyer in Summit for many years. Until his recent retirement, he was an elected member of The American College of Trust and Estate Counsel. He served as chair and board member of Family Promise; the Suburban Chamber of Commerce; the Visual Art Center of New Jersey; Christ Church Summit; United Way of Summit, New Providence and Berkeley Heights; and Friendship Ambassadors Foundation, Inc. He has served as a board member of Overlook Foundation and Summit Downtown, Inc.

Katherine is a non-executive director of Genfit, a French biotech company and also serves on the board of several private companies, including Brown Advisory, Clinical Genomics, & Primari Analytics. She is a trustee of the Summit Area YMCA and a past president of the Summit Board of Education. Katherine spent more than 20 years in healthcare, most recently at Celgene, where she led corporate strategy, and at Johnson & Johnson, where she held leadership roles in marketing, sales and new business development. Prior to that, Katherine was a partner at McKinsey & Co.

Eric is co-founder, president and a director of Evermore Global Advisors, LLC, an investment management firm in Summit, NJ. In addition to serving as a trustee for The Summit Foundation, Eric previously served as a trustee for the Summit Educational Foundation, as well as on the finance committee of the Summit Area YMCA.

Frank Macioce Trustee

Frank serves as chair of Overlook Medical Center's Community Advisory Board and as a trustee and officer of Summit Park Line Foundation and of HTTV, Inc., the local access television station. He is the former board chair of Summit Speech School. From 2004 to 2009, Frank served on Summit’s Common Council as councilman at large and as council president in 2005 and 2006. Frank practiced law for 30 years with Merrill Lynch & Co., Inc., where he headed the firm’s corporate law department and served as general counsel for various business units.

Drew is a senior director at BNY Mellon. He formerly worked at Merrill Lynch & Co. and Fidelity Institutional Brokerage. Maldonado’s community involvement includes co-chairing the fundraising committee for the Summit Community Center, as well as serving on the boards of the Summit Educational Foundation and Summit Junior Baseball.

Dana is an active volunteer having served NJ nonprofits in the areas of financial administration, educational program development, community engagement, and grantmaking. She most recently was grants and membership specialist at Visual Arts of New Jersey and is a former managing director of Deltec Asset Management in New York.
