Our Story
In 1972, a group of Summit residents united around a shared interest in community and a desire to enhance the lives of those who call the Summit area home. Those dedicated citizens laid the groundwork for a community foundation – The Summit Foundation. Rooted in their vision, our purpose endures – to foster philanthropic giving, build resources, and strengthen the community.
What We Do

Our Values

Incorporating different voices enhances our knowledge of the challenges and goals of people in the Summit area.
We provide a range of funds to accommodate donor preferences, including a general unrestricted fund, donor-advised funds, scholarship funds, and special-purpose funds.
